Sports Premium

Our Sport Premium funding helps us give every child richer, more exciting opportunities to get active and develop healthy habits for life. We use this investment to improve the quality of PE teaching, broaden the range of sports on offer, and create more chances for pupils to take part in clubs, competitions, and active play. It’s all about building confidence, encouraging teamwork, and making physical activity a joyful part of every school day.

Our Sport Premium spending has had a clear, lasting impact by strengthening staff expertise, widening opportunities for pupils, and embedding a culture of active participation across school. Investment in CPD has improved the quality and consistency of PE teaching, ensuring skills and confidence remain long after the funding is spent. Expanding extra‑curricular activities and enrichment has enabled more children to take part in sport beyond lessons, supporting both wellbeing and talent development. Our continued involvement with the Durham School Sports Partnership has provided access to specialist coaching, competitions, and high‑quality resources that help sustain progress year after year. Together, these actions ensure the benefits of the funding are not just immediate but firmly embedded for the future.
